GUWAHATI, July 2 - Police on Thursday seized an ambulance carrying vegetables and chickens amid total lockdown in Ganeshguri area.
The police recovered a bag full of potatoes, lemons, pumpkins and chickens in the ambulance bearing the registration number AS01-JC-8718.
�Acting on a tip-off, we visited the area and seized the ambulance. Around five persons were involved in selling these items. They had fled before we reached the spot, leaving the private ambulance behind.�
�We will catch all of them for involvement in the illegal activity,� said a police official, adding �we�ve got some phone numbers relating to the ambulance.�
