AMA team scales Stok Kangri peak

GUWAHATI, Aug 28 - A seven-member team of the Assam Mountaineering Association successfully scaled the 6153m Stok Kangri peak at the Leh area in Ladakh recently.

The expedition, led by Manash Baruah, was sponsored by the State Directorate of Sports.

On way to the Stok Kangri, the team set camps at 13087ft and 16300ft respectively.

The other team members were: Manash Baruah (leader), Dhrubajyoti Bora (deputy leader), Mayur Mahanta, Kaushik Das, Parag Kr Das, Karan Chandilya, Nabajyoti Sarma.
