Akhil begins 3-day fast

GUWAHATI, June 15 � Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi today started a three-day fast in front of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) office in support of his demand for removal of the APSC chairman for his alleged corruption, a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the 2013 combined competitive examination and reformation in the APSC. A KMSS statement here alleged that police today took recourse to atrocious steps to prevent Akhil Gogoi from launching his agitation.
