GUWAHATI, June 12 - The 16th Establishment Day of the Assam Kickboxing Association (AKA) was observed with a day-long programme on June 9 here.
The function started with the flag hoisting by AKA president Dinesh Gogoi at Udangiri, the proposed venue for the martial arts academy.
The main function was held at the Lakhiram Barua Sadan and was attended by Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury, Premadhar Sarma, ABM Yunus, Pradip Chaliha, among others.
Eminent educationist Dr Hiren Gohain was felicitated on the occasion of celebration of his radiant life. Altogether 53 persons were also honoured in the function, informed AKA secretary Biswajit Kakoti in a press release.
