DIBRUGARH, March 24 - The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJYP) has alleged rise in cow trafficking in the city during the night hours. In a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner today, the AJYP alleged that several organisations, officials and leaders of certain political parties were hand in gloves with the miscreants involved in transportation of cows illegally. The AJYP also alleged that the administration was facilitating safe passage for the trucks carrying cattle and illegal timbers in the city. Alleging that illegal activities were being allowed in exchange for a hefty amount of money, the AJYP has sought the intervention of the Chief Minister to stop the menace.
