NEW DELHI, May 2 - Scared of �poaching� by Congress and BJP in the post-election scenario of a hung Assembly in Assam, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal is planning to fly out all his newly elected MLAs abroad.
Talking to newsmen here, Ajmal, who has since left for Mumbai, said that directions have gone out to all his 71 candidates to keep their passports ready. �On May 19 after the election results are announced, all the newly elected MLAs would be flown out of the country,� Ajmal said.
When asked where he proposed to take away his MLAs, Ajmal declined to comment, stating that he has business across 27 countries. It could be anywhere, he said.
Declining to comment who he fears the most, Ajmal predicted a hung Assembly in Assam and hinted at dangers from both the Congress and BJP. Known for pulling stunts, Ajmal�s worry seems to be Himanta Biswa Sarma. He had poached two AIUDF MLAs in the Rajya Sabha election.
Ajmal, meanwhile ruled out any alliance with any party which has ties with BPF. He said that AIUDF would never have any truck with either BJP or BPF. Ajmal does not see eye to eye with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, though AIUDF voted for the Congress Party in the recent Rajya Sabha polls, when the Congress party was running short of MLAs to get its second candidate Ranee Narah elected.
On the other hand, he alleged that the AGP is reportedly holding secret parleys with the Congress party and there may be big surprises after May 19.
