SHILLONG, Jan 2 Connectivity in the Northeastern region will increase in the coming month as Alliance Air, which operates flights in the area, is likely to induct a second aircraft, Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Dr Jitendra Singh said here today.

A second aircraft is expected to be inducted by Alliance Air and once this is done, the other unconnected airports in the region can be connected by air in the coming months, Singh told the concluding session of the 63rd plenary of the NEC here. An MoU has already been signed for a period of two years between NEC and Alliance Air to provide connectivity to unconnected areas by air wherein the former provides viability gap funding to the agency, he said. PTI
