Agricultural implements distributed in Nagaon dist

NAGAON, Feb 15 - The Nagaon District Agriculture Office distributed various subsidised agricultural tools, including tractors, sprinkler irrigation sets and drip irrigation sets among the farmers under the Chief Minister�s Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGY) and Prime Minister�s Kisan Sinsoy Yojana (PMKSY).

Local MLA Rupak Sarma and Deputy Commissioner Jadav Saikia graced the occasion as guests where newly-appointed District Agriculture Officer Ashok Kumar Borthakur anchored the function.

From among the 881 applicants who had applied earlier for tractors under the CMSGY scheme, altogether 261 beneficiaries got tractors under the flagship scheme and the remaining 620 applicants who were left out will now be able to avail the benefit during this second phrase under the same scheme. The district office, it may be mentioned, approved a list of 120 applicants to avail benefits under the CMSGY scheme.

Agricultural instruments under CMSGY and PMKSY schemes were distributed among various beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, the Nagaon District Agriculture Office also distributed sprinkler sets and drip irrigation sets among 30 and 20 beneficiaries respectively under the PMKSY scheme.
