AGP team leaves for New Delhi

GUWAHATI, Dec 21 - A team-member delegation of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has left for New Delhi to register its reservations against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

The delegation, led by its president Atul Bora, is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh and submit a memorandum in this regard.

Earlier, speaking during a public meeting on the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Bora, who is also a Minister in the BJP-led State government, said that the Bill, if passed, will make the Assam Accord redundant.
