AGP slams Centre�s policy on Assam PSUs

DIBRUGARH, Sept 21 - The Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) today organized a protest rally to voice its concern over the Centre�s alleged corruption in Assam�s various public sector units (PSUs).

The AGP supporters led by district president Punnakon Baruah first marched from their district office to the office of the deputy commissioner with placards and banners. They also burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Chowkidinghee intersection to register their protest against the Centre�s alleged exploitation and negligence.

The AGP workers later assembled at the District Library to hold a protest meet with central leaders � president Atul Bora and working president Keshab Mahanta. The meeting was also attended by workers� representatives of Oil India Limited, Duliajan, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited, Namrup and Coal India Limited, Margherita.
