TURA, May 21 - The Anti Corruption and Human Development Organization (ACHDO), a leading organization, has flayed the administration for its failure in checking price rise of essential commodities. The organization also claimed that common man has been severely hit hard by the rising food prices.

In a release, the NGO stated that prices of food items, including bananas, milk, curd, fish and meat have sky rocketed in many places, including Garo Hills, Phulbari, Rajabala, and Bhaitbari.

People are facing hardships as milk is sold Rs 80-Rs 120 per litre, fish is sold Rs 300-Rs 400 per kg. Despite repeated complaints, the administration has turned a blind eye, the NGO leaders said in a statement.
