ABSU rally for Bodoland

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 19 � Welcoming the passage of the Telangana Bill in Lok Sabha on Tuesday and demanding a separate Bodoland State, the All Bodo Students� Union (ABSU) today organised a huge rally at Kokrajhar.

Hundreds of ABSU supporters with banners and posters joined the rally. The rally started from Rasmela field and passed through the main thoroughfares of the town with the supporters shouting slogans like �Divide Assam fifty-fifty', 'No Bodoland, no rest�, etc.

Talking to media persons, Lorence Islary, president of the ABSU district committee, said if the Centre could create Telangana, then why not Bodoland. He demanded that a Bodoland Bill should also be tabled in Parliament.
