AASU pays tribute to first martyr of language movement

GUWAHATI, July 4 - The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) today paid rich tributes to Ranjit Barpujari, the first martyr of language movement in Assam, on his death anniversary.

At a tribute-paying ceremony organised at the Cotton University, Dr Bhabesh Goswami, Vice Chancellor the varsity, spoke highly about the contributions of Barpuzari and said that plans are afoot to build a park in the place where he attained martyrdom.
