SHILLONG, March 9 - The 6th eNorth East Award 2016 concluded in the North East Council (NEC) Convention Centre here recently. Meghalaya Parliamentary Secretary, Agriculture, Food and Civil Supplies Dr C Lyngdoh felicitated the winners, a press release said.
The award summit was inaugurated by NEC Secretary Ram Muivah.
The 10 winners of the Award for digital innovations in NE included � Nagaland Police SMS-based Vehicle Monitoring System; Meghalaya State Agriculture Marketing Portal; ICT Solutions including Real Time Monitoring using Mobile Phones to address Health system gaps in Assam (UNICEF); Design and Delivery of e-Education in Health & Medical Sciences to the Medical Colleges of NE (CDAC NOIDA and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi); Xondhan.com (Assam); Virthli.in (Meghalaya); e-Auction System for NE (CDAC, Kolkata and NERAMAC, Meghalaya); Design and Development of Bio-resource Database for India region of Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot (Institute of Bio-resource & Sustainable Development, Manipur Centre); Online Approvals and Sanctions Information System (OASIS) of NEC and NIC Meghalaya; and Brahmaputra Community Radio Station.
The nine Special Mentions includes � Giskaa.com (Manipur); Cooperative Core-Banking Solutions for Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd; Arunachal Mobile Sewa for Citizen Services (State Council of ITE & e-Governance, and Sahityarathi.com (Assam).
The Award Summit was organised by NE Development Foundation, Digital Empowerment Foundation, Impulse NGO Network, and Meghalaya Information Technology Society and supported by NEC.
