6 year-old boy kidnapped

TURA, June 8 - Criminals abducted a six year-old boy from Dangkong in North Garo Hills district after locking his parents in an adjacent room.

The ordeal for the boy�s parents, who are teachers, lasted for over 45 minutes. Five masked persons entered their house and locked them in a room. It was only later that the parents discovered that their child was missing.

The gang also took their car which was later found dumped near Nalbari village in Goalpara district of Assam. The kidnappers left a phone number.

SP of NGH, Dalton Marak said, �We suspect the hand of a gang led by one Mithun Sangma of Menadoba. Operations to rescue the child is underway.�
