6 trying to avoid quarantine held

GUWAHATI, June 24 - Six persons who jumped from a train at the Narengi Railway Station today, were apprehended by GRP personnel and later sent to the Sarusajai quarantine centre.

NF Railway PRO Nripen Bhattacharya said that the six persons who had come from Dimapur by the Brahmaputra Mail, jumped from the train when it slowed down at the Narengi station, which is not one of the designated stations for stoppage.

They had booked tickets to the Guwahati Railway Station but jumped from the train at Narengi with a view to avoiding quarantine.
