59 held for violation of lockdown

ITANAGAR, May 24 - In West Siang district, 11 cases have so far been registered against the violators of COVID-19 lockdown, 59 persons arrested, 101 vehicles seized and Rs 43,000 were realized as fines from the violators.

Additional Dy Commissioner Liyi Bagra and others suggested to make the lockdown more effective in the days to come.

DMO Dr Moli Riba, DSO Dr Jombom Kato, Dr Jumge Padu and DDMO Dorjee Nima apprised the DC about the activities carried out so far in the district and stressed on the need to enforce home quarantine strictly.

The DC had earlier visited all the quarantine facilities and Covid Care Centre at General Hospital, Aalo. � Correspondent
