BARPETA, Jan 31 � Four persons were killed and another seven critically injured when an electric tower on which they were working, fell apart at Saudarbhitha under Salbari PS in Baksa district. All the victims were contractual labourers.
According to information, the labourers, engaged by KEC, a construction farm working for Powergrid Corporation, were busy connecting electric wire with the high tower, when it fell down killing Afser Seikh, Mithu Seikh and Baloram Ramchiary on the spot.
Seikh Taslim, who was seriously injured, later breathed his last at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital here.
