3 suspected Bangla cattle smugglers killed

SILCHAR, July 19 - Three unidentified suspected Bangladeshi cattle smugglers were killed by a mob at Bogrijan Tea Estate under Patharkandi Police Station in Karimganj district.

Karimganj Superintendent of Police Kumar Sanjit Krishna today said, �on enquiry it was revealed that the suspected Bangladeshi nationals had illegally crossed the international border with a motive of stealing cattle from the vicinity.They were killed by unknown miscreants.�

The SP further informed that rope, fencing cutter, wire, bags and food items made in Bangladesh were recovered by the possession of the deceased. Follow-up action and further investigation is under process, he added.

Meanwhile, police also informed that talks are being held with the Border Guards of Bangladesh (BGB) through the BSF regarding identification of the suspected Bangladeshi nationals.
