3 held in dacoity case

TURA, May 15 - East Garo Hills Police today arrested three persons, including a juvenile, for their alleged involvement in a dacoity case at Tamsura village. Two others involved in the case are still absconding.

On May 12, armed dacoits waylaid vehicles moving on the National Highway-62, and looted cash and other valuables at Tamsura village under the Rongmil OGC. A case was registered at the Rongjeng Police Station in this regard.

�Early in the morning of May 15, five persons were picked up from Gabil Bisa. Two persons Manchang G Momin and Meksin G Momin were involved in the dacoity case. A juvenile was also apprehended in the same case,� said East Garo Hills police chief Ringrang TG Momin.

Three mobile handsets were recovered from them.
