DHUBRI, July 11 - On the basis of an intelligence input regarding teer racket, a raid by Trinayan Bhuyan, DSP (HQ) Dhubri on Tuesday at Sasapara Ward No. 3 under Bilasipara PS led to the nabbing of the main bookie Jakir Hussain and 19 other teer sellers, police informed.
In this raid, Rs 86,030 in cash and 23 mobile phones along with eight calculators and as many as 2500 teer tickets were recovered.
Police said that one trunk containing books of gambling data was also recovered.
