ITANAGAR, Feb 15 - The Changlang Battalion of the Assam Rifles has apprehended two hardcore ULFA cadres from Rangringkan village in Changlang district.
Based on specific inputs received from the higher headquarters about the presence of ULFA cadres at Rangringkan, personnel of the Changlang Battalion of the Assam Rifles cordoned off the suspected area and apprehended the two ULFA cadres on Thursday. The arrested cadres, identified as �SS Lance Corporal� James Rongpi (27) and Nabajyoti Baruah (31), were later handed over to the Changlang Police Station for subsequent proceedings, stated a defence release here today.
