2 from Silchar in CBI net

SILCHAR, July 16 - In sync with simultaneous raids across 18 locations of the country as a part of investigation into a case of bribery for obtaining orders for construction of border outposts and fencing, officers of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Rakesh Mohon Kotwal, zonal manager of National Projects Construction Corporation Limited (NPCC) and Binod Singhi, Director of Shree Gautam Construction Company Limited on Monday evening from Silchar.

According to sources, the CBI team, including officers from Shillong, Kolkata and New Delhi also picked up Anish Baid, another director of Shree Gautam Constructions from Guwahati, Latiful Pasha, manager-engineering of NPCC, from Jalpaiguri, Dharmendra Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar from New Delhi.

Sources said that the two persons arrested from Silchar would be flown to New Delhi on Tuesday for further interrogation.
