GUWAHATI, July 30 � Sleuths of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) last night arrested two persons on charges of issuing fake arms licence.
Those arrested include Kamal Kishore (58) and Bhuneswar Rabha (38).
Sources informed that Rabha, in liaison with Kamal Kishore, owner of Rajdhani Gun House located in Fancy Bazar, have been issuing arms licenses from the administration of Senapati district of Manipur .
�As issuance of such license against the non-resident of a State has now been prohibited by the government, the duo used to get it issued in backdate,� the CID sources pointed out, adding that the duo charged Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.
The CID had already seized five such licenses. Such licenses are usually used by the private security personnel.
