17 candidates in fray for three Baksa seats

MUSHALPUR, March 29 - There are 17 candidates contesting from three Assembly constituencies in Baksa Election District.

No. 58-Tamulpur LAC has the highest number of nine candidates in the fray which includes Imanuel Mushahary (BPF), Chandi Basumatary (UPP), Rabindrabala Biswas (Cong), Derhagra Mushahary (Liberal Democratic Party), Janagosthiya Oikya Mancha supported Independent candidate Girish Mahanta, Jamiruddin Ahmed (Independent), Hiranya Choudhury (Independent), Ranjit Kumar Biswas (Republic Party of India ) and Mandal Baske (Independent).

In No. 62-Barama (ST) LAC, the candidates in the fray are Maneswar Brahma (BPF), Katiram Boro (UPP), Paniram Rabha (Cong), Rekharani Das Boro (Independent) supported by Janagosthiya Oikya Mancha and Bhupen Das (Independent).

In No. 63-Chapaguri (ST) LAC, the candidates are: Thaneswar Basumatary (BPF), Hitesh Basumatary (UPP) and Sujan Das (Independent) supported by Janagosthiya Oikya Mancha.
