Right-arm pacer S Sreesanth will replace Zaheer in the ODI squad, the BCCI said in a statement.

"Zaheer Khan has sustained a muscle strain in his leg and ruled out of the ODI series against South Africa. He will be replaced by S Sreesanth," BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in the statement.

The three-match ODI series begin in Jaipur on Sunday.

Gwalior (February 24) and Ahmedabad (February 27) host the two other ODIs.

Zaheer pulled a leg muscle here yesterday and left the ground.
