Woman held for murdering man

JALUKBARI, Oct 22 - Jalukbari police last night arrested a 32-year-old woman from BBC Colony, Pandu on charges of murdering a 30-year-old man.

According to police sources, the incident took place on October 17. On that fateful night the deceased, who was identified as Bonty Paul, a resident of Pandu College Gate, was reported to have gone to the house of the accused Shubhra Dastidar at BBC Colony.

Sources said that later Bonty fell unconscious and was taken to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead. The sources further said that the accused woman who lives alone, was disowned by her family a long time back. She and Bonty were said to be maintaining a relationship for the past few years.

Meanwhile, an FIR was lodged at the Jalukbari Police Station by Bonty�s family and on the basis of the FIR the police arrested the woman last night. Police investigation is on.
