DHEMAJI, Aug 7 - A housewife, Dipa Devi of Kathalguri village in West Machkhowa area under Dhakuakhana Police Station, drowned on August 4 evening. She was 45.
The accident took place when the woman was returning home from a submerged field after setting a net there to catch fish. On way through knee-deep water, she accidentally slipped into a deep portion of a pond and drowned.
She leaves behind her husband, one son and two daughters.
