Wildlife Week gets under way at Pobitora

JAGIROAD, Oct 3 - Along with other parts of the country, the 64th Wildlife Week got under way on Tuesday at the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary.

Famous for its one-horned rhinoceros, the wildlife sanctuary is situated near Mayong in Morigaon district. The Wildlife Week will be celebrated with various events.

Mayongor Raja Tarani Kanta Singha along with senior official of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Mukul Tamuli formally inaugurated a cultural procession in which Jeep Safari Owners� Association, including students from various institutions took part. A painting competition among the school students was also organised on the occasion.
