Wi-Fi service launched in Manipur

IMPHAL, June 28 - In a bid to provide better connectivity to the people, Manipur Government on Tuesday launched free Wi-Fi service in different parts of the State capital here.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the main objective of the new Government is to expand the IT service in the greater interest of the people. In this context, he said that Jeevan Pramaan Scheme launched by IT department, would benefit the pensioners. �Now, the pensioners of our State do not require to wait in a long queue to get their pensions,� he said.

The free Wi-Fi internet facilities can be accessed at JNIMS hospital complex in Imphal East district and Thangal Bazaar and Paona Bazaar in Imphal West district with a data limit of 300 MB per user per day, according to official sources. � Correspondent
