Weaving centre opened

DOOMDOOMA, Jan 14 - The 7th battalion of Madras Regiment of Indian Army stationed at Rupai Siding near here has set up a cooperative weaving centre at Jutulibari under Operation Sadbhavana.

Colonel K Nair and Colonel Avneesh Singh jointly inaugurated the centre on Tuesday. Army donated two embroidery machines and 15 sewing machines along with the furniture to the centre.

A free medical camp was also organised on the same day at Kordoiguri village. Over 500 patients were provided free medical consultation and medicines in the camp. A mega sports event was also conducted on this occasion.
