US Ambassador visits Kaziranga National Park

KOHORA, April 22 � The United States Ambassador to India Timothy Roemer and his wife and children who came to Kaziranga yesterday on a private trip, visited Kaziranga National Park today.

They took elephant ride in Kohora central range early in the morning today and later jeep safari in the western range of Bagori.

Mr Roemer and his family were accompanied by the Consul General of U.S. Embassy office at Kolkata and officials of Kaziranga National Park. Ambassador Timothy visited the Gendamari forest camp to see the working condition of the staff. He will leave Kaziranga tomorrow.
