KOKRAJHAR, Nov 12 - UPPL president Promod Boro asserted that his party main objective is to bring in development in the BTAD areas. Addressing an election rally at Majpara Titaguri in Kokrajhar here today, Boro said that UPPL would get absolute majority in the forthcoming election as BPF has started losing its base. We will get absolute majority in the election because BPF has failed to take up developmental schemes for the Boro people, he said.
The rally was also addressed by founder president of UPPL and former Rajya Sabha MP
UG Brahma, UPPL secretary Mauti Brahma Hajowary among others and was attended by UPPL candidates Buddha Mashahary, Rabiram Brahma, Prativa Brahma and others.
Earlier, the UPPL party organised a mass rally from the KDSA playground to Majpara field, Titaguri. Senior UPPL leaders also took part in the rally. The BTAD election is delicately poised as the major political parties are now trying to woo the voters by organising rallies and other ways.
