BONGAIGAON, Nov 8 - The United Peoples Party-Liberal (UPPL) will form government in Boroland Territorial Council (BTC) by winning over 30 of the total 40 seats in the upcoming polls of the Council.
The above was speculated while addressing a huge gathering at Ulubari High School field in Chirang district on Sunday by UPPL chief Pramod Boro.
Hagramas (Bodoland Peoples Front president and former Council chief Hagrama Mahilarys) magic will not work this time in BTC polls, rather he will definitely face the irate peoples trial for his 17-year-long corrupt rule as a result of which he and his party will be rejected by the people, Boro said.
The meeting was organised to mobilise public opinion in support of the UPPL candidates contesting from the Councils Subaijhar, Manas-Serfang and Thuribari (open) seat.
In the meeting, UPPL founder president Urkhaw Gwra Brahma, general secretary Mauti Brahma Hajowary and other top leaders were also present.
