ULFA bid to revive bases in Bangladesh

GUWAHATI, Nov 27 � Director General of Assam Police Khagen Sarma today said that the ULFA (I) is trying to revive its bases in Bangladesh.

He said that Chittagong has become a vital proposition from the security point of view.

The Assam Police head also said that militant activities in Bhutan and Myanmar too have increased.

Sarma also added that there are inputs about youths undergoing training in Pak Occupied Kashmir and Bangladesh.

On the recent blast at Rajgarh, he said that it was triggered by the ULFA and the mastermind of the attack had been neutralised in a recent encounter.

The Lakhimpur firing incident too was the handiwork of ULFA and those involved have been identified. They will be brought to book soon, he added.
