JORHAT, Sept 6 - Udit Gogoi and Kristi Boro stormed into the final of the ongoing ONGC-AITA U-16 Super Series Tennis Championship.
In the semifinals played at the Jorhat Tennis Club here today, Udit defeated his State team-mate Anchit Gogoi 6-4, 6-2 while Kristi got the better of Mekhala Manna of West Bengal 6-3, 6-4.
On the other hand in girls doubles, Assam girl Shakshi Baruah partnering with Maithili Mothe of Maharashtra defeated Mekhala Manna (WB) and Vidyula Manikanti (Karnataka) to win the doubles title. Mekhala-Vidyula conceded the match when their opponents were leading 1-0.
The remaining finals will be played tomorrow.
