NAGAON, Oct 27 - Nagaon Police today arrested two persons, Rajib Banik and Sultan Ali, in connection with the murder of a retired army man Dwipen Nath on October 22 last at his Khatowal Gaon residence, Nonoi under Sadar PS. One Pranab Nath was arrested on the day following the incident by a police sqad led by Nagaon SP Sankarbrata Raimedhi. Following the confessional statement of Pranab Nath, Raha OC Moloy Acharjee arrested Rajib Banik from Kakati Gaon, Raha today. Following the confession of Rajib, the Nagaon Police under the leadership of Addl SP Bipul Das arrested Sultan Ali from a dhaba at the bypass today.
On the other hand, a police team under the leadership of DSP John Das, Padma Pegu and Moloy Acharjee recovered the pistol and Pulsar bike used by miscreants fom Tamulpur in Baksa district.
Diwpen Nath was allegedly shot at by Rajib from point blank range after Pranab Nath called Dwipen from his residence to discuss a matter. Later they fled away along with dreaded dacoit Sultan Ali.
