Two-day meet on cyber laws from tomorrow

GUWAHATI, March 19 � The Gauhati High Court in association with the Judicial Academy, Assam, is organising a two-day regional conference on cyber laws (issues and challenges) at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara here on March 21 and 22 with the objective of sensitising the judges, public prosecutors and investigating officers of the north-eastern region on the issues and challenges pertaining to the field of cyber law, according to a press release here.

The conference will be inaugurated on March 21 at 9 am by Justice Madan B Lokur, Judge, Supreme Court of India. It will be attended by Justice Amitava Roy, Judge, Supreme Court.

Justice Uma Nath Singh, Chief Justice (Acting), High Court of Meghalaya, Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Judge, High Court of Delhi, Justice S Talapatra, Judge, High Court of Tripura and Justice V Ramasubramanian, Judge, Madras High Court will also address the conference, the release added.
