SENAPATI, April 27 - The next round of tripartite talk on the district creation issue in Manipur, slated for April 27, has been deferred.

Sources informed that due to some exigencies of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the talks are deferred. However, it is not known whether a new date has been fixed for the next round of talks.

The last talks were held on March 23, 2018. It was the sixth round. The first round was held on March 19, 2017.

The UNC had imposed economic blockade on all national highways which pass through Manipur for 139 days in protest against the previous State Governments action of creating new districts.
