Tribal Sangha leader passes away

JORABAT, Aug 29 - Organising secretary of the All Assam Tribal Sangha and former president of Karbi Students� Union (KSU) Bishnu Rahang died this morning at a private hospital in Guwahati. He was 48 and leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

Rahang, a prominent figure in different circles, was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure and was under treatment for the past few days.

His body was brought to the Tribal Sangha office at Sonapur, where a large number of people of greater Dimoria including leaders of Dimoria District Tribal Sangha, Assam Tea Tribe Students� Union, All Assam Students� Union, Karbi Students� Union and several other organisations paid their last respects and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. Rahang had also served as president of the Dimoria District Tribal Sangha.
