Tockay gecko rescued

PATACHARKUCHI, June 4 - One medium size �keko saap�( tockay gecko), a rare and endangered species of lizard was rescued last night here.

After seeing the gecko, two brothers Pulin Sarma and Kanak Sarma caught it safely and informed the Forest department. The department�s workers arrived at the residence of the brothers and took the gecko away to the Galia Beat Office of the Forest department. Today, the lizard was brought to Kokrajhar for observation of its health and it will be released at Manas National Park tomorrow.
