GUWAHATI, Sept 29 - To celebrate the passion for environmental sustainability and better living for the country�s future generations, the State Bank of India today held the third edition of the SBI Green Marathon.
PVSLN Murty, Chief Strategy Officer, SBI, and Sunil Kumar Tandon, CGM, North-East Circle, SBI, flagged off the runs that witnessed over 3,000 enthusiastic runners.
K Chinglensana Singh, Arjuna awardee (Indian hockey player), actress Barasha Rani Bishoya and actor Ravi Sharma also attended the event.
The runs (5 km, 10 km and 21 km marathons) began at the Khanapara Veterinary College playground in the morning.
Senior officials of the Bank also participated in the run along with other participants. All the runners were given organic T-shirts to promote a clean and green city.
