Theft at Baruabari village

JORABAT, Sept 20 - A gang of thieves stole over Rs 50,000 in cash along with three ATM cards, a PAN card, a cheque book, wrist watch, one mobile phone, a leather bag, and crockery and grocery items from the residence of one Kushal Talukdar of the Baruabari village under the Sonapur Police Station. The incident took place in the wee hours today.

Dibyajyoti Medhi, adviser to the Dimoria regional unit of the AASU, said the law-and-order situation in the Sonapur area has worsened in recent times as theft cases have been increasing.
