IMPHAL, Nov 29 - Manipur has been experiencing cold weather since the last few days in both the hill and valley districts. People in the hill districts, particularly Senapati and Ukhrul, have been hit by the dip in temperature. Churachandpur recorded a temperature of 7.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday, according to weather reports.
As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded at the Imphal Airport was 4 degrees Celsius against 4.6 on Wednesday, while the maximum was 25 degrees Celsius.
The IMD weather forecasts indicate that low temperatures would prevail till December 2 with fog and mist in the morning.
However, the cold weather could not dampen the spirit of tourists visiting the ongoing Sangai Festival at Hafta Kangjeibung here today.
