Techno-cultural fest of GU held

GUWAHATI, March 29 � The third edition of the two-day annual inter college techno-cultural festival of Gauhati University was held recently at the university campus, a press release stated.

The festival aimed to give the engineering and science students a platform for showcasing their talent as well as to experience and involve in the extra-curricular activities.

The festival was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Dhruba Jyoti Saikia, Vice Chancellor of Cotton College State University while the guest of honours for the inaugural function was Dr Mridul Hazarika, VC of GU and Dr Shikhar Kumar Sarma, Director of GU-IST respectively.

More than 1000 students had registered for various events in the fest from various colleges of the State. The techno-cultural festival had both technical and non-technical events such as quiz, poster contest, robotics, science project, logo designing competition, coding and photography. The cultural event was inaugurated by Bobita Sarma.
