Teacher killed in road mishap

DULIAJAN, Nov 21 - A teacher by profession from Duliajan oil township was killed yesterday night in a road mishap.�

According to information, Anjanjyoti Nath, a Chemistry teacher from Duliajan Saint Xavier�s Higher Secondary School, who was riding a bike, collided head-on with a Ford Ecosport car bearing registration number AS 23V 0506 coming from the opposite direction.�

The mishap took place at around 7.15 pm near the Duliajan Club area.�

Soon after the accident, the driver of the car, Bikash Dutta, was detained by the Duliajan traffic police. Anjanjyoti breathed his last on the way to a Dibrugarh hospital.�

Known as a bright student, Anjanjyoti had done his MSc in Chemistry. A resident of the Duliajan Sabjibari area, Anjanjyoti leaves behind his father, mother and a sister. His death has been widely mourned at Duliajan.�
