Tata Steel is committed to promote sports in the country. But it is not possible for the company to compete with public sector units as far as providing employment to all medal winning sportspersons is concerned, Nerurkar said.

He was speaking at a function to mark the 151st birth anniversary of the first chairman of Tata Steel Sir Dorabji Tata. Support to sportspersons who are winning laurels for the country will continue, he said.
