SILCHAR, Oct 29 - The situation turned tense at Radha Madav Road here on Sunday night after a clash between two groups grew intense and started pelting stones indiscriminately.
Police and CRPF jawans rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. Cachar SP Rakesh Roushan, Additional SP(Headquarter) Rakesh Reddy and other officers took stock of the situation and brought it under control.
Meanwhile,even as the groups dispersed,the entire road stretch and other potential areas were brought under heavy security cover in an effort to maintain peace.
