IMPHAL, Dec 21 - Chief Minister N Biren Singh today inaugurated the �Spiritual Circuit� here under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme to promote pilgrimage tourism for its direct and multiplier effect upon employment generation and economic development.
The �Spiritual Circuit� consists of five temple components. They are Shree Govindajee Temple (Imphal), Shree Bijoy Govindajee Temple (Imphal), Shree Gopinath Temple (Ningthoukhong), Shree Bangshibodon Temple (Khangabok) and Shree Kaina Temple (Kaina) which were developed under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme with a sanctioned amount of around Rs 53 crore. Biren Singh also inaugurated the construction/renovation of tourism infrastructure development around Mahabali Temple in Imphal in the presence of Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (incharge) Prahlad Singh Patel.
