Sikkim reports 95 new cases

GANGTOK, Sept 25 - Sikkim has reported 95 new cases of COVID-19, which took its total virus tally to 2,706. As many as 1,994 persons have also recovered from the infection so far. East district continues to have the highest share of cases with 52, followed by 39 cases in South district and four in West district.

Rural Management and Development Minister Sonam Lama and eight of his staff members have tested COVID-19 positive.

Meanwhile, Gangtok Mayor Shakti Singh Chaudhary has also been found positive.
